Borealis Microcosmos explores transformation, materiality, and hidden natural forms shaped by Scandinavian forests

The Alchemy Series begins with original macro photography taken in nature.Through a deliberate artistic process, each image is transformed, not AI generated, into a work that explores resilience, fragility, and transformation at the edge of the visible world.Real encounters from the natural world are transformed into symbolic compositions, where form, colour, and texture drift beyond documentation into interpretation. Each work is released as a limited edition of five physical prints

A beetle and a fly meet in a suspended moment of light and shadow

A suspended moment where light, texture, and form dissolve the boundary between the natural and the imagined

A transformation where colour, form, and scale dissolve the familiar into something uncanny

A quiet transformation where structure outlasts form

About the artistBorealis Microcosmos is a body of work shaped by close observation of natural forms and processes.Trained as a scientist, my approach is rooted in close attention to natural structures that often remain unseen. My practice is shaped by time spent in Scandinavian forests, where silence, repetition, and seasonal change cultivate a particular way of seeing. In these environments, nature is not scenery but a living presence that is patient, resilient, and attentive. Through macro photography and artistic transformation, my work investigates how form, colour, and texture can shift meaning, revealing quiet intensity within the smallest fragments of the world.
